I would suggest the Banfi Rosa Regale. It is a red sparking wine and is sweet. It can be drank by itself or as a complement to sweet foods. I have turned a lot of people on to this sparking wine and they absolutely love it.

here is a link that shows you what the bottle looks like.

I personaly like a drop of Cava

I have a feeling you may not be actually looking for a sparkling wine or champagne per se... if so, try Ballatore Gran Spumante for something a bit on the sweeter side and still bubbly.

You might also be interested in Arbor Mist. It's a nice little bubbly fruity wine drink for folks just entering into the world of wine.

It may be that you are the designated driver for the evening, but would still like to enjoy a glass of wine on your evening out, or alternativley you may have been advised to avoid alcohol due to medical reasons. It is not sparkling, but Selak's ice wine is absolutely delicious. I wanted sweet and fruity and that is what i got.

Riunite D'Oro. White, Sparkling, and a nice fruity flavor. About $7-$10 a bottle. Or try Gallo Muscato. White, still and warm and fruity.
