Why should you not drink alchohol on an empty stomach?!

Question: I'd think it's because you get wasted more easily.

Answers: I'd think it's because you get wasted more easily.

Because the alcohol will penetrate your bloodstream quicker, without food in your stmach and will cause you to feel intoxicated quickly.

because you'll get sick....nothin to soak it up is bad

True

yes, you are correct

Yes, if there in no food in your stomach, then the alcohol will take affect much more rapidly. Personally, I will be sick if I drink on an empty stomach but if I have food in there I am good to go.

Because there is nothing there to absorb it. And your body should not get liquor as your main substance.

Yup.

Without food in your stomach, your body will absorb the alcohol much quicker and cause you to get sick.

you are correct, along with that you may feel drunk longer

I think there is some "soaking" going on, which would release the alcohol more slowly. But in my opinion, maybe the body doesn't like to have to absorb alcohol and food at the same time. I think the clearer the digestive system is, the better it will be to handle whatever's thrown at it.

alot of acid in the stomach that is empty pitted with alcohol will make you nauseous....and give you acid indigestion....you will also get drunk quickly, but with that you'll probably hurl as well....

There is no real reason for not drinking on an empty stomach. It is an old and untrue wives tale that you will get drunk faster on an empty stomach. It is also a myth you will get sicker faster. The only way to get drunk faster (short of injecting it directly into your bloodstream) is to throw moderation out the window and increase you rate of in take.

you get drunk faster heh.

Yes

alcohol actually gets absorbed directly thru our stomach....instead of our intestine like noraml food which is why we feel it so much faster than otehr things (like a can of soda) and also why drinking on an empty stomach means that you will jsut absorb the alcohol faster.........nothings in there to dilute it or slow down the rate of absorption so itll affect you harder and faster
