Whats is the best way to make a champagne fountain?

Answers:
Using prosecco, or other cheap(er) stuff. It ruins real champagne completely!!!

Then, don't use flutes, but rather the larger-mouthed "coupes". They have a better balance, are easier to stack and they catch better the pouring. Build up a pyramid - something like a 8X8 glass base, then 7X7, the 6X6 etc, all the way up to the top, where you have 2X2 and one only to top - you need to decide on the pyramid size based on the number of guests! so if you start as I say above, you will have 64+49+36+25+16+9+4+1 = 204 glasses!!! it goes fast. For about a hundred guests, you need to start with a 6X6 base.

Then, calculate the number of bottles you will need: each glass should hold about 1 dl, but there will be some waste - you better count on 1.5 or 2. (small glasses help here..). A bottle holds 7.5 dl, so... 5 glasses per bottle. if you have the above pyramid with 204, you will need to empty 40 bottles on the pyramid.... or 20 magnumsn (each 10 glasses).

You see why one should use cheaper stuff??? at 40 US a pop, that gets pretty expensive - and most people cannot make the difference.

It is a wonderful show for a big party or a wedding, though... and if you have that many people, it is just as expensive (if not more) to hand out the bottles...

use lots of champagne flutes ,build a base then stack flutes as high as possible, then pour champus

Use a paint can shaker.

You might want to train a monkey to pop the cork.

the above are nice suggestions but the absolute best way is to actually use a champagne fountain not only keeping it cold but also will preserve the bubbles while also being a pretty cool center piece. not cheap to buy but easy enough to rent
