What are the best snacks to go with Rose wine?!

Question:

What are the best snacks to go with Rose wine?

Answers:
What about a tray of different cheeses. Add some pretzels (I like the mustard ones) and olives, and you've got a small snack that won't over power the wine.

i would go for peanuts pretzels or doritoz enjoy xxx

Cheese & nuts, like Cashews. The other is Dark Chocolate (make sure to have Chocolates). Chocolate covered Strawberries are good too. Actually ther are a "Home Run" kinda best. You will be a star forever with those. SMILE!

U can even buy Chocolate covered Cashews at te regulare store or market .

By the way, . . . . . . . . . That's a GREAT QUESTION.

cheese and crackers, like some nice sharp cheddar

mini quiches

maybe some sushi? mmmmmmm sushi

just keep in mind not to serve anything greasy, greasy food and wine do not mix

I hate to come off sounding like a wine snob, but most of these folks should not be giving wine advice. Whoever suggested sharp cheese and chocolate should be drinking cabernet with it... not rose.

A true rose is a GREAT food wine, nice and dry, tangy and crisp... not the same as a blush, which is sweeter, their only true similarity is in color. Rose has red wine flavors with a white wine style! The colder you serve them, the better...

If you're serving a blush, which has a bit of sweetness to it, serve something a bit spicy to compliment that as the sweetness will tone down the heat. If it's a dry rose, you can honestly serve it with just about anything! Even grilled food is a good match for a dry rose. If you've got a totally dry rose, herbal dishes are a nice match... think about something like goat cheese with fresh herbs mixed in with a nice mild cracker to showcase the cheese.

The person who suggested cashews is on the right track... this is a great wine for "natural" foods. Think fruit tray, vegetable tray, light cheeses - nothing too sharp or overly aged or strong - cocktail shrimp with a spicy sauce for dipping, sushi rolls, seafood dip, assorted crackers, a hot pot with oriental chicken chunks, egg rolls, any typical appetizer like crab puffs, quesadillas, even wings! Any type of wrap would be good... hummus and pita... anything with cream cheese... keep it fresh and fairly light and it'll be perfect.

a nuts platter like its served during diwali. u could also serve some nice reshmi kebabs & also some bite sized sandwiches. put some carrots & cucumbers into chilli vinegar for five mins & serve with some nice spiced up home made bourson.

Dry Rose: Prosciutto, dry salami, ham... dry cheeses.
I paired prosciutto-wrapped asparagus with parmesan cheese with "Alice's Rose", it was an excellent pairing!!!

Sweeter Rose: Fruit, or spicy foods! I've paired enchiladas with fresh pico de gallo; gingered chicken salad served on a sesame cracker; fruit salad; and pancakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream (for a brunch) with "Jeanie in the Bottle". Mmmmm!

You can get the wines online at http://www.troonvineyard.com/

My favorites!

Fried almonds
Mushroom caps

Fish fingers would be appropriate, or even pakoras!
