Is creme de menthe syrup and maraschino syrup interchangeable with creme de menthe liqueur maraschino liqueur?!

Question: I have the syrups but all of my recipes call for the liqueurs. Can I still use them and what changes should I make to account for the loss of alcohol in the drink? Thanks.

technically yes however the liqueurs will have alcohol as one of their ingredients, so as a pro chef with 20 years of drinking ... i mean cooking experience I would politely suugest add ing more of another type of booze. The other rule of thumb to remeber is to chill the glasses, the metal shaker and all of the liquid ingredients if at all possible, then remember to shake with vigor and drink while the good stuff is still almost forzen, the desired end result coktail should have shards of ice floating on top of the drink.. enjoy and don't drive ...lol

God, what do you need that stuff for? The flavor profiles should be similar- you will just have a less potent cocktail. Spike it with a good jolt of everclear to liven up the party.

yeah if you want the non-alcoholic version.

The syrups are non-alcoholic and they are concentrated, sugary versions of the liqueurs. If you use the amount of syrup as the recipe calls for, you will probably wind up with an oversweetened concoction.

Depending on what drink you are making, you can try "watering" down the syrups either with some water, or by adding little bit of vodka (which is a flavorless spirit). Or, try compensating for the lack of alcohol content by adding a little more of the base spirit that the recipe calls for. Experiment with ratios to determine what tastes best.
