Answers: Does anyone agree the draught lager in weatherspoons is rank..cheap but bloody awful..im told they buy huge quantities at near end date

It tastes like soda water!! I normally buy bottles of stella cos atleast u know what ur getting, pure lager!!And u can check the best before date, well at the start of the night when u can see!

yeah i heard that too. apparently thats why its cheap

yes it is watered down like hell too. I buy bottled beer in there!

all lager is rank

The near end date story is a myth. if you don't like it don't drink there its cheap and you get what you pay for.

I always get a gommy tummy if I drink draught lager. Stick tae bottles, it's safer....How urr ye meant tae know if it's fresh????

It is just a myth.

If you are in Weatherspoons, why buy lager? It's generally pretty crap where ever you go!

They have a great range of real beers on tap at reasonable prices. It is not the same chemical concoction that cheap lager is... who knows, you might even find something you liked!

As the Wychwood 'Hobgoblin' says : "What's the matter LagerBoy? Afraid you might taste something?"

I agree with you, still gets me pi**ed tho.

drink as with food is illegal to sell after it use by or expiry date if you knowingly sell products that are out of date a large fine can be imposed on any one breaching this law.
so that's why i do not believe that this company would practise this.
a big company like this one purchases it beer wines and spirits a lot cheaper than say a publican that only owns one pub.
if you have ever owned or ran a pub then you would understand that two options on how you purchas the beer you sell first one is simple you get a discount the second one is not so simple and is called barrelage you simply say to the brewer that i will sell 6 barrels of Stella a week and if i do this then every barrels that i purchase will be sold to me at £100 a barrel but if i do not sell the six barrels a week then i have to pay £200 a barrel and that is why this company can sell their beer at such low prices

cheap lager mate????????????????????????????????????...
