Do people in Ireland....?!

Question:

Do people in Ireland....?

really drink a ton of Guiness or are you guys partial to more regional and local brews?

Answers:
I've been to Ireland a ton of times and normally it's the tourists who drink the Guinness. Most locals go for lighter beers such as Bud Light.

I always wanted to know that too. Also, is Guiness an acquired taste or do you hate it all the time but have to drink it because you are Irish?

Plenty of Guinness drinking when I was in Dublin.

In London, however, I saw more Bud drinking.

Guinness is a beer which is consumed in Ireland and their Guinness is MUCH better than the Guinness we get int he U.S. It is not the only beer, but certainly one of the most consumed.

Most of my male mates (including myself) would drink Guinness. Sometimes its a bit heavy though... A huge amount of people in Ireland drink Guinness before other beers.
