Is there a difference between lager and cerveza?!

Question: Have you noticed a difference in tastes or anything?

I have a bunch of lime and Moosehead lager.

Would it be okay to have lime with my lager? Or should I go out and buy a 32 pack of Tecate?

Thanks in advance.

Anytime you add citrus to a mid to light bodied beer, it really wakes up the flavor. Go and get the Tecate anyway and try both...see which you like better! You might even start a Canadian beer revolution!

(PS - If you're looking for a really, REALLY freaking good combination, get a case of Hoegarden and an orange or two...you won't be disappointed!)

I'd go with the Tecate, bud.........one of my favorites......We drink ours with lime and Tapatio sauce in it.....make it a spicy beer.....Enjoy!!!

Lager - A type of beer brewed using lower temperates and bottom fermenting yeast.

Cerveza - The Spanish word for beer. Most often a lager, but could also be an ale.

Ales - A type of beer brewed at higher temperatures and using top fermenting yeast.

Moosehead - You can try it.

Tecate - Negra Modelo is much better. Tecate has a C- rating and really isn't that good, see first link below. Negra Modelo has a B- and is an OK beer... Second link below.

David: A pilsner is a type of lager.

Cerveza is just the Spanish word for beer. (In general).

Lager is a kind of beer. As in style of beer not brand. There are Lagers, Pilsners, Porters, Ales, Stouts etc.

Most Mexican beers are either Lagers or Pislners.

I would drink the Tecate with the lime and not do so with the Moosehead.
