Does anyone remember Billy Beer?!

Question: What fond memory can you share? Like where you were and what did it taste like?

I remember it, but never drank it, I was just a kid. Do you also remember generic beer in the white cans with the black lettering?

yes
i remember Billy Carter shaming the white house almost like Jimmy did.

never drank it but your post does bring back memories

REMEMBER IT,BUT NEVER DRANK IT. WHEN IT CAME OUT , I WAS LIKE JEEEEZZZ. PEOPLE JUST COULDNT BELIVE IT. ENOUGH SAID.

You probably won't believe this, but I still have a can of it! Last I checked, it was worth over $100 bucks! It didn't taste like much - remember drinking it with my friends, just to try it. Anyway, my mom had kept a can, and she passed it on to me just because I thought it was cool...so yeah, I still have an unopened can of it...it's a great conversation piece if nothing else!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh Billy Carter... Wasn't he a nutty guy. He wasn't doing President Carter any favors just being alive (lol!) but when he came out with that Billy Beer, Sheesh!

My Uncle Kenny has a whole 6-Pack untouched. He also has a few cans and finally gave me one when I visited him in Oregon. I never got to taste it, but as an avid Beer-drinker Uncle Kenny said, "Taste's like crap.". His words, not mine.

I did taste Billy Beer,It tasted like other homemade I have tasted I didnt like it.But I liked Billy he was just a ole redneck who really didnt care that his brother was Pres.except to cash in on the beer.Unique or so I think.

Yes, I remember it well. I was a bag-boy in a grocery store at the time (my high school job). It sold for about week, then the novelty wore off.

It's worth QUITE alot now, among beer can collectors. A case of un-opened Billy Beers could pull down a pocket full of cash for sure.

Gawwwww.....
Yuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkk............
Too young to have been drinking it to start with....
Peace...

Never tried it, but my brother owned a tavern at the time it came out. He probably still has an unopen six pack.

I remember it, but I was way too young to drink.

I remember it, but like most don't think I ever drank any..we all have someone like him in our families tho, don't we!!??

It wasn't available over here but I do recall hearing about it.
