Are margaritas a manly drink?!

Question:

Are margaritas a manly drink?

Answers:
A margarita wouldn't probably wouldn't be described as manly. I'd say more women order them than men.

Granny

As long as they are not made like slushys.

No

i'd say they're pretty unisex

Ask Jimmy Buffett.

ok ok who started giving gender preferations to drinks?? drinks of all names are for everyone!! every sex!

Only in the summer when it's really hot, and only on the rocks, NOT frozen.

You gotta problem wi dat?!

Can be and also for ladys who want to get tore up.

no - for secretaries at happy hour after work or women on vacation.

sure. why not? its got booze in it and its not an appletini. if you ONLY drink margaritas however....you might have a problem.

Put the worm from the tequilla in it and will be very manly!

Of course I'm kidding! Seriously, drink whatever you want. My husband's as manly as they get and he drank every fruity drink there was in Mexico on our honeymoon. I drank beer straight from the bottle instead because I didn't want to get sick from the water in the drinks. I didn't get sick at all but he sure paid a high price from his margarita drinking!

no... I think they're more feminine

nope. but a mexican drink! just order a brewski if you want to be "manly"

Heck no!!!

Vodka Rocks, or straight tequilla.

That'll put some hair on your @$$.

no.. i dont think so, ive never seen a guy drink margarita before, girls do! alot actually haha

Yes. Right up to the point where you pass out or run naked thru the party. Then all bets are off.

NOOO. Margaritas are the farthest things away from manly drinks. I rarely see a guy drinking a Margarita. Thats like saying a Pina Coloda is a manly drink. Sorry just doesnt work!

as long as you like it , who cares what ppl think, thats makes a manly drink

A real margarita, made of alcohol and fresh squeezed lime on the rocks with salt? That's a resounding yes.

A frozen margarita that looks like it was poured from a 7-11 Slurpee machine or some "Just add tequila!" mix that's a bright phosphorescent green? No, my friend. That's barely even a real drink.

ETA:
Here's the recipe for a real Margarita. There's nothing girly about it.

MARGARITA
2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
Coarse salt
Lime wedge

Combine first three ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled salted cocktail glass. Salting the rim: Rim the edge of the cocktail glass by rubbing a lime wedge on the outside rim of the glass, then dipping it into a saucer of course salt.

Manly drink?

So now there's gender associated with what you drink?

So dumb. What's your point of drinking anyhow? If you like a margarita and you want it blended, so drink it blended. It's your taste, and what you prefer.

Just don't drink it with a straw, or have fruit spears on the rim, or those cute little colorful umbrellas, and you'll be fine to drink whatever you want.

It's your mouth and gut, you can poison yourself in any fashion with any concoction you wish.

Only in the summer, and only outside. if you order a margarita inside unless it's a cheap drink special, you'd better check your lipstick, Alice.

No way José!!!!!

Put salt on the rim for me, please...and no straw...

The traditional margarita served straight up or on the rocks is sufficiently manly. Frozen is bordering on a girly-drink. If you add other flavors (strawberry, peach, etc.) then you had better be secure in your manhood if you drink it. At least, that's my opinion.

I'm a guy and I'll drink just about any girlie drink especially if it is free. But for for those of you that aren't so confident with your sexuality.....stick with a Cadillac Margarita.

Sure.

yes unless it's fruity

Haha--as long as they're in a manly glass and not slushy-- My man drinks margaritas every now and then but refuses if it's in a tiny martini glass or slushy.

I don't think so. Maybe for a gay man (and I'm not bashing gay people).

Margaritas are fine if your either aboard a cruise ship or at a bbq, otherwise, i'd stick to beer or something else, at happy hour, i'd leave the icey frilly drinks to the women.
