i think that the bar owner should be able to decide because its their business. Besides if people are smoking around you in a bar it takes around10 hours to equal one cigarette. wouldn't really worry.
It is banned everywhere that is public!! At least it is here in Europe. You have to go out to the street to smoke.
Hell yes. Smoking should be banned everywhere indoors. It has been proven over and over and over that second hand smoke is harmful and is a major cause of lung cancer in non-smokers
where i live it is banned in the bars.
It would be nice to have "Smokatorium" Bars. Before people go off on one about the staff, easy, have vending machines.

In most public areas in Arizona you can't even smoke outside unless your at least 50 feet from any entrances.
I quit smoking back in Oct. = the funny thing is, I also have no desire to go to a bar or a bowling alley or a pool hall.... the unfortunate part of that is that I used to enjoy going out but not anymore.

It's unhealthy for staff. No one should be asked to work in a situation where toxicity can be reduced.
The only reason for not reducing toxicity is that some people like it and others make money out of it.

Even in Las Vegas, the government is trying to ban smoking in bars. Why? 2nd-hand smoke kills. Wonder when they can also take down the casino giants too. As of now, the only indoor place you can smoke in Vegas is on the casino floor -- you know, like when you throw money away.
Yes, it should be banned! Now I can go into a bar and have a drink with my friends, with my Asthma I could not even go out into a restaurant or even a Friday night after work, in the bar with my girlfriends, until the law changed.
I am a smoker and at first I thought not being able to smoke in bars was going to be a bad thing. But come to find out, I really think it is the best thing. I do less smoking now then ever before. I now don't smoke in my house, nor my car, with my grandchildren are around etc

yep, the effects are known now so it wouldnt be fair to put others through it when you can just step outside...also it stinks
It is where I live, and I think if it's a private club it should be the owner's choice. As a smoker I definately don't stay as long as I would have before the ban.
No. I think it is silly to ban smoking in public bars. Non-smokers know when they go into a bar that people would be smoking and yet they still choose to go in there.
