Answers: My 2 fridns say your not supposed to in-hale it.

Cigars are like a fine wine & they're meant to be enjoyed.
The smoke is to be rolled around the mouth, where the nicotine is absorbed.. then exhaled via mouth / nostrils.

No. Cigars are for the flavor. You don't inhale it into your lungs, just your mouth.

no

No.

Your friends are right, your are just supposed to swirl the smoke around in your mouth.

No , you are NOT, and most people don't. You are supposed to pollute the atmosphere not your lungs.

No, you aren't supposed to inhale the way you do a cigarette, where you take the smoke down into your lungs.

Cigars are supposed to be smoked with you savoring the tobacco. You hold the smoke in your mouth so you can get the taste of it, and then exhale. Some people, myself included, find it easier to get the full flavor if you exhale through your nose.

It won't hurt you if you inhale down into your lungs a few times during the course of one cigar, but you sure don't want to do it more than a couple of times, because it will make you sicker than a dog. Remember that the tobacco is less refined than that in a cigarette, and there's no filter, so all the gunk is going down there. You also get a heck of a big nicotine dose with a cigar. I didn't know that back in high school when I smoked my first cigar, and I inhaled just like I did with cigarettes. I stayed home for the next three days, puking my guts out.

I hope that helps clarify it for you a bit.

Cigar smoke, which is rarely inhaled, tastes of tobacco with nuances of other tastes. Many different things affect the scent of cigar smoke: tobacco type, quality of the cigar, added flavours, age and humidity, production method (handmade vs. machine-made) and more. A fine cigar can taste completely different from inhaled cigarette smoke. When smoke is inhaled, as is usual with cigarettes, the tobacco flavour is less noticeable than the sensation from the smoke. That is why you do not inhale the cigar smoke.

It is okay to inhale some of the smoke but cigars are more about the aroma and flavour than the smoke. In any case if you were to inhale the smoke from a Davidoff or Romeo Y Julietta then you would probably cough so much you would be sick as they are very very strong.

You would have to develop a tolerance for them over a period of time before you could comfortably inhale cigar smoke. If you enjoy cigars that way, there is no law against it.
