Is it true that the best thing for a hangover is to down a beer? Because your body is going through?!

Question: alcohol withdrawl, you just give it the "hair of the dog". Aspirin and lots of water help a bit, but downing a shot or a beer seems to help more.

yes drink a couple of them

It doesn't actually help, it just delays the body having to get around to its recovery - and may make the recovery take longer in the long run. It's not advised.

exactly they say "hair of the dog" and it does work but then you end up drunk again. Also you can take aspirin and water and sleep it off.

No, all it does is make you drunk again delaying the effects. The best things are water, Advil, bananas and B vitamins.

Aspirin is actually bad for you... it reacts badly to alcohol and can create stomach problems with prolonged use... Tylenol can as well but it is less likely.

noooo... apparently that's the worst thing you can do.
Deep fried food and lots of water, as alcohol dehydrates you. I read up on this a while ago... I can't remember why the fatty food works but there is a reason.

Sleep is the best one I know.

I definitely don't recommend any more alcohol. It only makes your current hangover worse. Rehydrate your body with a lot of ice water and chewing gum helps. I don't suggest any heavy foods, it only makes your stomach feel worse. Tylenol is bad for the liver. Bread helps to soak up the internal fluids also

Yes it does work, but remember only one drink. You're not "delaying the hangover by getting drunk again." One beer in the morning will help your hangover, but try to eat and drink lots of water too. I don't know why it works but it does.
