Never had a tequila can you give me some receipies?!

Question: are they strong or sweet or both?

Answers: are they strong or sweet or both?

depends on the tequila.

some are quite rough. some are very smooth.

its a savoury taste, goes well in sour drinks like a margerita

that is tequila, lots of lime juice, ice and grand marnier.
(you can but a bottle of margerita mix in waitrose, just add tequila)

or a tequila sunrise, tequila, orange juice and grenadine.

if im in a pub i often drink tequila with one of those little bottles of bitter lemon, tastes similar to a margerita.

if youve got a nice anejo (aged) tequila, drink it neat like brandy.

or go the the salt, tequila, lime shooter

or mix with fizzy lemonade and slam it on the table so it fizzes up for a slammer.

or you can have it with a hot sauce chaser called a sangrita (google the recipe)

tequila is an aquired taste for some but it can be very tasty, and not just for shooters.

Theres loads of tequila websites with ideas, this is one:

There are many varieties of tequila -- some sweeter than others. They all have a pretty strong kick, though some claim to be "smoother."

There aren't really any recipes for *tequila* -- just pour it into a glass -- unless of course you're looking to make it yourself, which is not an easy process.

There are, however, many recipes for margaritas and other mixed drinks made with tequila. The best introduction is just to go to a good Mexican restaurant and order a margarita, or buy some margarita mix (not the really cheap stuff) and put it in a glass with ice and a shot of tequila.

Mixed Drink Recipe For: Tequila Sunrise
Ingredients:
2 oz Tequila
4 oz Orange Juice
3/4 oz Grenadine
Ice

Buy some good Tequila, like Padron Anejo, La Herradura, Tres Generaciones, etc.
That way you don't need to waste your time with mixed drinks, these delicious liquids should be drunk neat, no mixers. A little ice if you're a newbie. Never shoot good Tequila.
And never buy the crap with the sombrero screwcap!
