I just got home from College and I had been drinking pretty much every night, there was always some occasion, birthday, a game on, weekend, just becasue (lol), and I got home a I felt awful. So I stopped drinking beer for 1 month and started eating better, and I lost 11 pounds, and a pant size. It's just alot of empty calories late at night, so now I drink more liquor with diet soda (cause it takes less to have an effect) or I drink more light beer.

I was considering giving up beer for lent so I'll let you know.

ive cut out lager and take aways, lost 2 stone in 25days

My Husband stopped beer for a month while he was on antibiotics and lost 7lbs.

My one Co-worker went on a whiskey diet, being that he only drank whiskey instead of beer for 2 months and lost 25 pounds..... but he drank a lot of beer.....

I did this the month before my wedding, I lost around 5lbs, but I am not huge anyway so there was not a hell of a lot to lose.

i stopped drinking and i still weigh the same...maybe more. i guess i'm also moving/exercising a little less lately.

yeh i stopped drinkin beer (carling) to be precise lol erm for 2 months and i lost 1 and a half stone!! im an 18 year old female and used to drink pinys of carling like pints of water!!! lol..xx

This depends on your current diet and eating habits. Some people who quit drinking beer may have cravings for high-calorie foods.

I was drinking a six pack about four days per week and it has been over a month since I completely stopped drinking any alcoholic beverages. While maintaining relatively healthy eating habits and exercising, I have lost over 10 pounds. I feel 100% better both physically and mentally and notice the "spare tire" around my waist shrinking and my true muscle tone returning. As long as you combine abstinence with exercise and healthy eating, you will notice a tremendous difference.
