How does a flask know when?!

Question: to keep drinks hot or cold?

Answers: to keep drinks hot or cold?

i don't think i understand the question but it reminds me of this kind of coffee brewing : http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.brewers....
http://www.sweetmarias.com/yama_vacuum_b...

it still amazes me.

It doesn't LOL

it just keeps the original temp
becasue no other air gets out or in,

It reflects back whatever the temperature of the inside liquid is.

It insulates (using a vacuum) from the outside temperature - which will undoubtably be warmer than something you want cold, or colder than something you want hot!

It doesn`t. The vacuum between the inner and outer flask keeps the contents at the same temperature as when it was poured in.

it maintains the current temperature by preventing heat conduction either cold or hot from the surroundings it is in.

Insulation works for both hot and cold.

You have to tell it what to do.

when the beakers nipples are hard
