one "measure" is a portion. It may be an ounce or an ounce and a half it could be a cup if you want. It is just a measurement. So if the recipe calls for one measure of something and 2 measures of something else you are the one who establishes what that measure is. Most bars pour 1 1/2 thats one and a half oz. as their standard pour. That would be their measure. Or they may use a 1 oz. jigger and measure from that. I hope my explanation is helpful. I know it doesn't sound to great, sorry.

1 oz.

equal measures per mix

1 shot = 1 oz

one oz.

Anything.

If you want one drink, then prolly 1 oz.

If you want a pitcher, then use 1 cup.

For a bathtub full, use a gallon.

I recommend the bathtub full. :o)

1 oz.

one measure of means 1 oz = you need to have a jigger or a shot glass to measure the oz

It's the same as saying "1 part..." It refers to the amount of liquid you're putting into the glass. It's so you have the same strength no matter how much of the drink you make (1 pitcher will taste the same as a single glass).

If you are using the recipe to make a single drink, 1 part usually means 3/4 - 1oz. (the small side of a two-sided jigger), or one standard-sized shot glass.

Generally 1 oz, however, it is a ratio to the other ingredients. In example, a margarita could be 2-2-1 for Tequila, Lime, and Cointreau. If the "2" is an ounce, then the "1" is a half ounce.
