vodka, but you can also use a good quality tequila, like petron. Goes down smooth, and it doesn't make much to get you messed up...lol. have fun!!

Definitely vodka....cheap stuff works just as well as the expensive. When I'm making a lot I mix one cup water with one cup vodka along with the jello mix. They taste great and do their job of getting you hammered :) Good luck!

In my opinion the best would be Everclear. The jello really cuts the harshness of the liquor. I had many parties when I was in college and this was always the best combiniation. Otherwise, nobody really feels the buzz from the Jello Shot.
For jello shots, you want to stick with light liquors and also you'll want to stay away from that fruity flavored stuff. The sweetners in those things will counteract with the jello and taste bad, like when you eat ice cream and then drink juice or kool aid, not a pleasant taste!!! I usually go with Vodka, the higher proof the better, Absolute is'nt my favorite vodka for drinking, i prefer Belvedere or Armadale...but i'd not wanna waste it in Jello shots. Also good would be Gin, White rums and Everclear...if your really hardcore, then you can add a bit of each...
