Looking for liquor called Limoncello?!
Looking for liquor called Limoncello?
Contacted the company in the U.S. that supposedly distributes it, but no response after 2 months of waiting. Anyone know where you can get this excellent Italian liquor? I am in Spokane, Washington.

Have you tried your local liquor store?
If you want to make your own, you can!
Limoncello
10 lemons
1 (750-ml) bottle vodka
3 1/2 cups water
2 1/2 cups sugar
Using a vegetable peeler, remove the peel from the lemons in long strips (reserve the lemons for another use). Using a small sharp knife, trim away the white pith from the lemon peels; discard the pith. Place the lemon peels in a 2-quart pitcher. Pour the vodka over the peels and cover with plastic wrap. Steep the lemon peels in the vodka for 4 days at room temperature.
Stir the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Cool completely. Pour the sugar syrup over the vodka mixture. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight. Strain the limoncello through a mesh strainer. Discard the peels. Transfer the limoncello to bottles. Seal the bottles and refrigerate until cold, at least 4 hours and up to 1 month.

Good luck
You should be able to find Limoncello at any good liquor store. It's an Italian lemon flavored liquor that is VERY strong.
Not sure where to obtain it. My friend who lives in Italy brought it here for us to try. Genuine import. Good luck
I would call a large liquor store in the area and ask if they will special order it for you. If you have no luck there, call a local liquor distributor directly to see if they will help.
Hey, I grew up in Spokane! Anyway, Limoncello is delicious served very cold. Keep it in the freezer. It should always come from Sorrento, Italy. It is a Tuscan specialty. I live in San Francisco and we have it in the grocery stores. I know you guys have state liquor stores but I would think any of them would carry it. It has been around for a long time. We like "Villa Massa". It is 60-proof so fairly strong but you drink it in small, icy glasses. The recipie someone gave for making it yourself looks fine. It does take a long time and you want to be sure to use Meyer lemons. Good luck!
A restaurant i used to work in Fox Lake, IL called ZaZa's carried it. Very delicious after dinner liquer. Refreshing. A dessert in it's own right. maybe they can tell you what distributor ar you look ones up in Lake or Cook County in Illinois. Good Luck
Goto www.bevmo.com. Can order there if you are able to ship to Washington.
I am from Canada but I would imagine that going to a liquor store around Italian restaurants or even ask one of those restaurants where they get their supply from. Maybe you could order one straight from the restaurant. Hope that helps
