I'm not an advocate of the bar snack unless it's a bar and restaurant. If I'm going to get sick at a bar it better be from drinking too much, not eating a tainted bowl of communal junk food.
Beer nuts, or sometimes popcorn.
Peanuts. Whether they're in the shell or just a bowl of "cocktail" peanuts I'll eat 'em until I leave. Popcorn is a close second. So long as it's really salty and makes the beer quench my thirst it serves its purpose.

Not much for snack foods with it, but I love Buffalo Wild Wings and a good wheat beer. Nothing much better out there then that!
cant go wrong with pretzels... but one food i really enjoy with beer is pizza or wings...
Gotta be Pizza and Wings, its a classic combo, throw on a game and it couldn't get much better.
