Answers:
Commonly 80 proof and as far as prices you name it. Average price is $30.00. My favorite vodka is Wodka Gorbachou and is about 40-50 dollars. Nice and smooth. Look for a triple destilled vodka, something of good quality. Specially if you going to drink it without mixing (like me. Just cold). If mixing you can get away with lower quality.

Vodka comes in different proofs, 80 is most common. But, it is not hard to find higher proofs. Vodka can range in price from $5 a fifth to $50 and higher depending on quality. A decent quality, like Smirnoff usually goes for about $15.

personally myself i drink only absolute its smoother and its about $30

vodka typically is 30% -40% alchohol(60-80 proof)
decent bottle costs 15-20$, but they range from all over and u will see really good ones at 30-50$, such as grey goose and ketal one, and some fancy ones that i cant even spell. but you can also find vey cheap brands like vladamir that can be 10$ or less. vodka also comes in many flavors of all dif kinds, however the flavored vodkas ussualy are only 30%-35% alchohol. vodka is also the purest of alchohols and is almost always clear except for certain flavored ones

I believe most vodka is around 80 proof-40% alcohol.
You are absolutely correct about the different brands, and now there is a huge selection of flavor infused types.
My favorite is Vox-mid-priced, but extremely smooth.
If you need a large amount and are mixing it to the point where the vodka isn't discernible, I'd recommend a cheaper brand like Smirnoff-or see if the liquor store has any specials.
You can always ask the person working to help you as well.

The most common proof is 80. That means it is 40% alcohol by volume. You can find different proofs, but 80 will be the most popular on the shelf.

You can get it from the bottom shelf in a plastic bottle for about $7-$10 dollars for a fifth. But you don't want to. That is low quality nasty hang-over stuff. You can go really high end and get something behind the counter that I can not pronounce or spell for a ton of money, but again, you don't want to. Get a bottle of Grey Goose or a bottle of Kettle One for around $25-$30 dollars. They are pretty good and are of a high enough quality that you will like them. I think the real high end liqueurs are made for people who like to brag about how much they pay for something. Unless you are a professional taster or a serious aficionado, you won't be able to tell the difference. Kettle One is my favorite. I like to mix it with a hint of Sierra Mist.

My opoin of vodica is GREY GOOSE.
Is the best but it is high

ok, to compare brands

Most Wanted ( a local brand made here in Kansas)

Smirnoff triple distilled
Red Label - 80 proof- $12

Blue Label- 100 proof-$18

its usually about 80 proof and you can get a pint for about $15
