What am I possibly looking at if I get a 3rd alcohol intoxication charge?!

Question: I live in Ky if it matters to you.

Answers: I live in Ky if it matters to you.

Drunk in public... Community service and a fine usually.
KY. is a commonwealth if I am not mistaken. The same rules apply in VA where I live.
If you were underage on your first charges (and you were) then these new charges will reflect off of those. It is highly likely you will be fined and the judge will most definitely make you seek counseling and/or treatment. He is in the right to make you serve weekends in my neck of the woods.

depends on your state but jail time in North Carolina

Most probably jail time. Just watch yourself and don't get that 3rd charge.

Were you driving? If you were you are lucky there are laws because the general public has no use for you.

you're quite possibly an alcoholic redneck.

BAS? is that a Bachelor of Alcoholic Studies?

Youre looking at lot of evenings in church basements.

Whether you were driving or not, the courts have a genuine tendancy of sending people to AA meetings. Especially for multiple offenses....even if they were years apart.

Good Luck - Seems you might need it.

Depends on the situation, KY laws, your intoxication, priors. Probably jail time, heavy fine, lengthly license suspension (possibly lifetime), and alcohol counseling. Good luck.

You didn't explain what the charges were related to.

Don't know what you were looking at, but you were probably seeing two of them.

I used to work in a court in Ohio. Unfortunately I couldn't find any references specifically covering what you were looking for= all I found was stuff about Kentucky DWI laws. What I did find concerning your questions was not very specific but sounded pretty much the same as Ohio laws. If its the 3rd offense you will be fined (that doesn't include court fees) You will have to attend a mandatory alcohol awareness class which you will have to pay for by a certain date -generally if and when the fines are not paid- that is when a warrant is issued for your arrest and you do some jail time. The amount of time is up to the magistrate. Usually anywhere from 10 to 90 days unless you are proved to be insolvent. In that case, the fine will be suspended pending community service.

(Wow! I kinda surprised myself on this question- I didn't realize I knew about the laws this well!) Good Luck!

You're also looking at cirrhosis of the liver if you don't get help.
