I'm making an alcoholic beverage, and is it okay to use regular vanilla extract instead of a vanilla bean?!

Question: If you know what it is.. it's 'Krupnikas'.

And if i do use vanilla extract, how much should i use cuz it says one bean. So i don't know how much i should substitute.

One TSP is exactly the right amount for one vanilla bean substitution. Truthfully, you could go with imitation vanilla if you wanna save yourself 5 bucks.

No - if you do that you will kill everyone who drinks it, it's very toxic

its fine...and it wont kill you u use it in cooking all the time. and if youre so worried why dont you feed people choclate chip cookies and see if they die...ooooohh deadly vannila

wouldnt suggest that, just a bit too much and its gonna get ugly, vanilla extract in a large enough dose can be harmful, it contains alcohol, and the taste is waaaaay powerful

a teaspoon will be fine.....you just want the essence of vanilla.

I use it all the time when I compound liqueurs. Not as good as the real bean but close.
