Liqueurs for starter minibar?!

Question:

Liqueurs for starter minibar?

im starting my liquor collection, already have the spirits, vodka, rum etc. i need some liquers for mixing, and i wanted to know which were the "essentials" that would be the most versatile and useful. its annoying to see a recipe for a drink and be missing the ingredients. thanks.

Answers:
It's not liqueur, but you should definitely get a bottle or two of sweet and sour mix because it's something you put in a lot of different cocktails like margaritas, cosmos, daiquiris etc.
As far as essential mixers, here is a good starter list:

Cointreau (or triple sec if you want to go cheaper...essential in cosmos and margaritas among other things)
Dry Vermouth (martinis)
Sweet Vermouth (manhattans)
Peach Schnapps (good with vodka if you have a girl over)
Bailey's Irish Cream
Apple Pucker

What you really need to ALWAYS keep on hand (non-alcohol)
O.J.
cranberry juice
grenadine
club soda
tonic
sugar packets
lemons & limes
cherries
olives
cola

more drink specific things like grand marnier (or cointreau) are good, the rest of your flavored schnapps (apple here in washington for "washington state apple", peach shnapps for sex on the beach, galliano for harvey wallbangers, jagermeister for surfer on acid or jagerbombs
