Ever find yourself hankering for a SECOND Caesar or Bloody Mary?!

Question: I like both drinks, but being a Canadian boy I am partial to Caesar's... and you can also make either with gin... and then I think it is called a Red Snapper. Anyway... here is how I'm making my Caesars this evening:

2 oz vodka
4 oz Extra Spicy Clamato juice
the juice of half a fresh lime
a splash of Fino Sherry
a dash of Worcestershire sauce
a dash of Tabasco
fresh black pepper
a dash of horseradish
in a highball glass with ice
celery salt
garnish with a celery stalk

delicious

I love them both! I remember moving to the US in the late 70's (I lived there for 2 years), and requestiong a Caesar at various local drinking establishments...nobody down there knew what the heck I was talking about. They really thought I was nuts when I told them that it was like a Bloody Mary, but instead of tomato juice...use Clamato Juice! "Clamato juice...what the heck you talkin' bout boy", was the general response...LOL

Haaa I have US spell check, and it just underlined Clamato in red...LOL

Anyways, I told them that Clamato juice was a blend of clam juice and tomato juice, and they thought I was kidding!
I guess I just presumed that the whole world new what a Caesar was!
I went back to the US a couple years ago, and it seems that in some places they have finally caught on to our drink!

Nice recipe...but you've got to wet the rim of the glass, and dip it in sea salt though...mmmm!
I know what I'll be drinkin' tomorrow night!

Edit - Oh, I guess I forgot to answer the main part of your question:
Yes, and I'm still hankering after the 5th or 6th! What a wonderful combination...fish juice and vodka!! Leave it to a Canadian to think of that one, haaaa!

only a hankering for a spankerin!

Ahh - my Sunday hangover drink... =)

That sounds like a really good drink - it's making me thirsty!

Sounds alright, but it sucks that you're drinking by yourself & this bored

So where's my invitation? I love celery!! teehee

mmmmm are you going to share with little ol' me? please?

Oh yes, 24 happy hours a day. ; )

Sounds great, bub. I guess this Yank will be trying your Canuck recipe sooner rather then later. Though for tonight, I think I am going to try a red snapper because that is what I have in the house and I don't feel like going out.

Thanks, I am still working on the first one that you made for me. The recipe looks like it has a bit of a zing. Thanks for sharing.

Bloody Mary's baby! Yummy! I like mine extra spicy!

I'm partial to Bloody Mary's on Sunday Morning. My guy makes them. He uses V8 Hot & spicy, worchestershire sauce, celery salt, salt & pepper, lots of olives, and, of course, Vodka. We use amounts of our choice and what ever
vodka we won on the last tip board. ( Well brands work just as well as Top Choice in a Bloody Mary

Caesar's uuuooo!@!sounds like that my stomach would be having the party instead of me..and always a second on anythig I drink that's

the fun of it>>>>>> the second one

sounds good, i could drink like 10 of those, lol

hmmm
