Why isn't beer sold in plastic bottles?!
Answers: I can't think of any brand of beer that is sold in plastic bottles -- it's always glass bottles or cans. Why?
well at sporting events its in plastic bottles...i personally think plastic and metal ruin the true flavor of beer
don't know where you live but we have beer in plastic bottles here
beer is sold in plastic bottles all the time mostly bud.
they sell it at sporting events in plastic.
They do sell them at concerts and etc. However your giving up taste.
Not sure where you are but we can get beer in plastic bottles. The only advantage the plastic bottles have over glass is that they come in six packs of 16 oz bottles instead of 12oz. I know the gas station right down the road has Miller (Genuine Draft, Lite) and Budweiser (Budwesier, Bue Light) in plastics. They're nice for tailgating, because you don't have to worry about breaking glass. And we all know that the only way to drink beer is from the keg or from the bottle.
Here in Jersey, it's either glass or cans. I think they do the plastic at stadium to prevent people from throwing bottles.
It is. I bought some for the Super Bowl. I got two 6-packs of Bud Light, and they were in plastic screw top bottles. There you go!
To answer your question first hand go to Denmark. In Copenhagen, I had Tuborg on tap and it was fair. After the bar, we got a 12 pack of Tuborg in plastic bottles, and I must say that it may have been the skunkiest most disgusting liquid that I have ever drank in my life.
it is.
they do have plastic bottles if theres an outdoor event going on.
In many places it can be found in plastic bottles. However plastic is not a good container for commercial beer since PET bottles tend to allow oxygen to pass through. This will oxidize the beer making it taste quite bad, and can even oxidize ethanol in the beer into trace amounts of acetone. Plastic bottles will not preserve the flavor of the beer like cans or glass will.
Bud, Miller, Coors, and Mikes Hard Lemonade brands are all sold in plastic bottles, particularly for stadiums, as mentioned.
Sometimes you'll see them in retail stores.
Those beers are crap anyway... don't waste your time.
