Does anyone out there have alcoholic beverages with breakfast?!
Answers: People think that i am nuts because I will have wine with breakfast or put bourbon in my coffee. What is so out of the ordinary about that?

I don't do it regularly or when I'm going to work.
But on my day off after working hard all week, I'll occasionally have a morning bloody mary. Or when we visit my friend's beach house for the weekend, it's not uncommon to begin sipping whiskey before noon.
Only mimosas or bloody marys at brunch. Never with actual breakfast...unless it's game day!!! Haha. Then we start drinking in the shower first thing in the morning. :p Cheers!
On vacation I had about 15 little shots(medicine cup size) of tequila all before 10am. But that was vacation. Normally, I have zero, unless it's really cold out, then maybe some brandy.
I've had a mimosa at breakfast. Wine with breakfast IS a little weird, as its not really a breakfast type drink. Bourbon seems a little hardcore for that early in the morning. Nothing necessarily wrong with it, but it IS out of the ordinary.
When I'm on vacation or during the weekend, I like a red beer (beer and V8) or a mimosa in the morning, but I usually get a little sleepy in the afternoon when I drink early in the day. :)
I have a friend, however, who likes to drink coffee with red wine in it, and he swears it's very good (I've never tried it). So if you're looking for a new breakfast beverage, you might want to give that a try.
An hour later: kept thinking about this post, so I made myself a red beer. :)

Alcohol first thing in the morning is a sign of alcoholism. It just makes me want to go back to bed if I try to drink in the am.
It isn't out of the ordinary at all, for a person with a drinking problem.

hey i put rum in my coffee some times , and just last week i had a cup of Coke, and Crown Royal with my breakfast.
Some thoughts: if the wine you are drinking is white and fruity, then good stay with it. The bourbon in the coffee for breakfast is a waste of the bourbon and your taste buds. If coffee for breakfast is necessary, substitute either some B&B or just Brandy.
Now to your question: A Salty Dog is always good with breakfast: a shot of Vodka in a glass of grapfruit juice over ice. Salt the rim of the glass is so desired. Or, a Screwdriver: just a shot of Vodka mixed with orange juice over ice. Actually, Vodka goes well with almost all juices if served over ice.
