When you drink whiskey?!

Question: Do you sip?

Answers: Do you sip?

I usually drink a higher quality whiskey, usually bourbon, that is worth sipping and tasting. Love my whiskey in a Manhattan with bitters or an Old Fashined with muddled fruit.

Sometimes its nice to take some Irish Whiskey like Jameson on the go when you take a brisk walk through the park in the winter. Warms the insides...

No, more of a gulp.

Not-- rather drink vodka straight up with ice(alot) with
olives)!!!!!
Whiskey -I'm not here to make impression's I want what I want to drink. If I can't have it then I'm gone..
Spoiled Rotten

Depends if I am mixing it or not. If its neat, or with just some ice, then yes, I sip.

If its Scotch and Soda or Rye Whiskey and Ginger Ale, then its BIG sips.

As a shot, I just toss whiskey and vodka straight back to get the full effect immediately. I only sip when they're mixed with other things, such as a screwdriver.

When I do Bourbon neat or on the rocks I sip it. If I'm drinking a lesser Bourbon and have mixed it with Coke or Sprite then I may take bigger drinks but I still like to enjoy the flavor. If I'm just doing shots, then I just down it in one gulp.

i usually have a double shot of Jack, chilled, with a ginger ale chaser. i don't usually sip it no.

yes sip a nice big glass of glenmorangie with water and ice!!

In shots I gulp it neat and all in one go.

On the rocks I sip it.

High quality single malt whiskys are supposed to be sipped with just water added with no ice and never drunk neat.

Definitely! Sprout has the right idea.

If you're drinking really cheap whiskey, then yeah, it's hard to sip it straight because it's just not that good.

But buy yourself a high quality whiskey- something like Pappy Van Winkle or Blantons.

If you're not quite used to drinking bourbon whiskey straight, an easier but still good one to start with is Basil Hayden's. It is pretty smooth and a lower proof (80). Makers Mark is of course a fine choice too.
