Can you make wine out sprite soda?!

Question: No, but not because of any reason given so far.
To make the sort of "wine" you're talking about, you simply add yeast to some sort of sugary drink and let it go...similar to making cider by adding yeast to apple juice. The problem with sprite is that it contains sodium benzoate as a preservative. This is a yeast killer...the yeast will die before it can ferment the sugar in the sprite. Another problem is that there aren't any nutrients to help the yeast survive and metabolize the sugar, so even if there wasn't any sodium benzoate in it, the fermentation wouldn't happen.

no

no

No. You need to ferment fruit (grapes) to make wine.

WHAT????? RU SERIOUS?????

yes

No, you need either grapes or another type of fruit like blackberries or strawberries.

No because Sprite does not have any ingredients that can ferment to become wine.

I knew somebody who worked in a restaurant and saved juice from cans of fruit and made wine from that.

NO.

Anything is possible. but if you are asking if you can make it, then I would say no because you are asking the question. I think I could make it.

No but u can make some syrup outta Sprite....n not the knid you put on pancakes

Maybe. Want to experiment? Try adding grape juice to it until the color looks right and let it sit open long enough for the carbonation to dissipate. Store in a wooden barrel for a year and see what happens.

Well I guess you could make alcohol out of sprite, but it wouldn't be classified as "wine." You can make simple alcohol out of only water, sugar, and yeast. It's really easy. You can also use grape juice if you want to make real wine. It tastes pretty good too.

If you meant to say "wine spritzer" then yes. Otherwise, no.

you use that juice and lots of bread and let it sit for a week or something and stuff in the bread will make it wine i think idk some kid in school was telling me about it, like jumba juice for jail ppl haha

No my friend it is loaded with preservatives.

No, but you may be able to add it to homemade wine for a sprite flavor.
I'm brewing a Mountain Dew beer next month (it is very possible and has been brewed successfully numerous times in the past.)
The principles of brewing and winemaking are very similar, so I imagine you can add a premeasured amount to the wine prior to primary fermentation in order to get flavor.
As far as the preservatives, they aren't srtong enough to affect the beer, though I'm not 100% sure about wine.
Try it! Good luck!
