Since when has cider supposed to be poured over ice and have gas bubbles in it?!

Question: People are generally quite thick and very easily led. If the Magners advert showed a load of cool people pouring tomato sauce into their cider, you can guarantee they will all be doing it in the pubs.

There is no reason why it can't.

People have been drinking it like that for years.

Since it started to taste nice and refreshing.

Since the marketeers set to work on it.

It tastes nice with ice in the summer, especially when in the beer garden, Can't see it happening to Stella anytime soon though lol!

it sounds yuppie to me

To be honest, I think it's been since the whole alco-pop thing started that people have started carbonating their cider. Then all they need to do is advertise that it's a refreshing 'new' sparkling cider, and people follow like lemmings.

I personally do not carbonate mine, I bottle it like wine, and I prefer to drink it like that.

the cider you are drinking is factory cider and not real scumpy what you get down the west country ,factory cider is not to bad but has more fizzy which in turn makes more gas like coke

If it's good enough for Withnail and I, then I'm in.

"Two large gins. Two pints of cider, ice in the cider."

Wooooooooooooo!

Since they realised they could make MONEY with it!!! Didn't you realise, life's all about money now, nothing to do with taste, quality or authenticity!

I live in the UK and for as long as I can remember cider here has had bubbles in it, but then I have only been alcohol aware for about 15 years or so. I don't drink cider myself but ever since I started going out to the pubs at age 18 (it's the legal age in the UK) I have always seen fizzy cider. I am told it is very refreshing over ice, but it's not my thing, I can't imagine drinking beer with ice so would imagine it is something like that!!

since they invented extra cold.its so its that cold you cannot taste the awful stuff .give me vodka any time.
