Answers: are of lower class??? I have never heard this, and it sounds sorta asinine to me..... just wondering???

yes i have heard this but it makes no sense.... some people just prefer a sweeter wine.......

Only people who treat wine as a status symbol say that, I would imagine.

no people drink different stuff, no one is lower class because of what they drink.

I have never heard this. I would think people drinking MD 20/20, Thunderbird or anything like that would be of a lower class, not the white zinfandel drinkers.

No, but if you drop a raisin in a glass of champagne it will bounce from top to bottom.

try to find a high class zinfandel

Everyone has different taste bud. Some just get an expensive wine just to show off, but don't even like the taste....those are called wanna be's.

Of course this isn't true. And I know many wealthy people (men and women) who drink White Zinfandels (or White Merlots, etc).

But, because it is very very inexpensive, not considered a "good" wine, and is the favourite of high schoolers everywhere, it is considered low class by many people.

Among my friends who drink good wine, it's kind of a joke. Much like Coors Light is to people who like good beer. And how Domino's is to people who like good pizza.

It's a reflection on their taste, not their social status.

its a great wine with dinner it has nothing to do with high class or low class its almost on every wine menu at any nice place to dine. dont drink alot of it or you will get a bad headache

I wouldn't necessarily say that people who drink white zinfandel are lower class. I look at it more like that people who like white zinfandel are probably just starting to drink wine and this is the possibly the first kind of wine they have tried. Eventually, their tastes will change and they will try heavier types of wine like Merlot, Cabernet Franc and possibly all the way up to Red Zinfandel, which is a very yummy wine as well. Our tastes evolve as we grow up - just look at what we would or would not eat when we were teenagers versus when we are adults. Wines have a similar effect as do food.
