Can someone recommend a good wine - fruity? Preferbly under a $100 bucks?!

Question: There are so many varieties out there, it's really hard to try and pin point one in particular.

I have found that for a nice fruity wine, I tend to lean towards the Merlot blends. That is Merlot blended with fruits like cherry or blackberry.

Fredonia is another nice varietal wine. It's a red wine with a very fruity taste.

For whites a Musato is a very nice one. It has a clean refreshing taste to it. Riesling is another good choice. It's along the same lines as a Muscato.

White wines are sometimes blended with fruits like apples and pears, to help give it that extra fruity kick. Paired up with something like a light cheese and some crackers..... yum-o.

Don't let anyone fool you into thinking that the higher priced the wine is, the better it is. They'd be telling you one heck of a whopper. SOME expensive wines are super yummy, but most are not. Price should not be an indicator for you, when it comes to the quality of the wine.

Try and find a shop that will allow you to sample some of the wines. You can try my suggestions, or any of the others listed by other answerers. At least you'd have a chance to discover, for yourself, which wines are really good, and which ones to stay away from.

Happy hunting. Or should I say Happy Tasting? lol

You really don't have to spend even $10 for a great bottle of wine. If you are into white german wines, a great one is the Frank Kunsler reisling they are sweet, great with spicy foods.

I would recommend a Riesling. Try 2006 DR. Loosen Brothers Riesling for about $10. Or, if you can get it, Nahe Riesling... another great choise. Riesling is light with hints of fruity - usually apricots, apples etc. It compliments most food as well.

Brunello do Montalcino - Italian, great fruit, about $50

Cranberry Wine by Tomasello Winery.

Merlot for a red wine.....soft, smooth, fruity

I'm a Pinot Grigio fan myself. Or a Pouille Fousse (sp). Husch Vineyards makes a wonderful Chenin Blanc.

You can get the Sangria Wine and just add slices of apples, peaches and strawberry...It gives it a great sweet tasty wine Love it!!

Riesling Relax

no wine i would get pepsi it is better for you

Franzia Chillable Red,
Comes in 2 liter or 5 liter Boxes.

Chill in fridge before serving.
Very yummy

for that much cash you should get a cracking Chablis Montrachet ,poulet fuise poulet fume .
you do not need to spend that much on a decent wine though have only told you about french wines the USA has a good rep for its wines so why not try napa valley or other parts of your country i am sure you can pick up some great tasting wines for a lot less than $100 as you are talking about $15 or there abouts a glass of wine reds are dearer than whites

I don't know what kind of food are you planning to serve, so I recommend 1 red and 1 white.

Try Australian penfolds shiraz (Red) or New Zeland sauvignon blanc from region of marlborough (White) they have a very fruit taste.

Merlot and Chardonnay, by Candori is made in Italy. Smooth.
Price: $15.00
For a good desert drink, try Lombardi cream of Limoncello. Serve in liqueur glasses or pour on ice cream or pound cake.
It originates in Little Rock, AR $25.00

$100??? LOL You can get a good bottle of wine for around $30. Talk to the seller at a local shop and ask about good local vineyards. You will really be able to tell a difference in the different types and tastes, and enjoy it more.
