Certainly one place to start before you choose you alcohol is to think of your mixer because most people cannot drink alcohol straight-up or on the rocks. Your mixer is where most of your carb/calorie count is going to come from. Sodas are high in sugar as well as juices. If the bar serves fresh juice that may be your safest route but juices served from the gun are entirely sugar and have no real nutritional content. Probably soda water or plain water is your best option for mix. And for heaven's sake don't think the diet soda is going to help!
Bacardi Superior says is has 65 calories per shot and 0 carbs which all in all is pretty good but like i said you must watch what you mix it with! Vodka is the same calorie carb count so you do have some options!

Have fun in San Antonio! Definitely visit the riverwalk and flea markets!

Not true... the best thing to drink is whiskey and water if you are really trying to watch your weight

No it depends on how they are made. Rum especially is usually made from sugar cane or in some cases mollasses. These obviously contain sugars or carbs. The darker the rum the more sugar and carbs.

Both Tequila and Rum contains carbs... Rum from cane and Tequila from agave, they both contain carbs.
