What is 75 % proof sprit?!

Question:

What is 75 % proof sprit?

Answers:
"Proof" is an expression or measurement of alcoholic content, and it is usually not represented in percentage. It is generally twice the alcoholic percentage. So if you are drinking a standard liquor (80 proof) it is 40% alcohol.

In your case, if you have something that is 75 "proof", that would be approximately 37-38% alcohol. On the other hand, if it is really 75%, then you have something that is 150 proof and 75% alcohol - very high alcohol content!

It's get drunk quick sauce.

100% proof liquor (around 50% alcohol) would catch on fire (prove itself) if you soak gunpowder in it and light it.
75% is 25% short of that -- so around 36% alcohol.
