Can drinking without excess still cause liver damage?!

Question: If someone drinks let's say 2 glasses of wine/day over 10 years - will they damage their liver or is that moderation and not cause harm? What about getting drunk only twice/week? Is that bad?

I'm not a doctor, but I think so.

Doctors suggest that women only drink one glass of wine a day while men drink only two glasses per day. Wheather or not it will cause liver damage I am unsure, but I do know that's what is suggested.

In small amounts, alcohol is actually helpful in the human body.
