Adding MSG(vetsin/vetchin) to your beer?!

Question: i know MSGs are bad if taken too much,
but my friends will have a dare to add some MSG to their drinks tomorrow,,
I'm just curious but what will happen to the people who
takes them?
its not illegal and its not a drug, isn't it?

Back when I was a fresh fish in college, we and my new "friends" were drinking. There was a girl with us. We wanted this girl to pass out so we could do the train (I know that was sick and I know better now).

We were doin shots and I go after the girl, w/c means much of the residue from the MSG are still on the glass and I got to ingest it instead. What happened to me? I was knocked the F*CK out! And I had the worst hangover I ever experienced.

Dont do it.

Mono Sodium Gluetnate?

It's a flavor enhancer that gives some people headaches.

I don't know what you guys are planning to do, but why???

why not just add plain table salt...
nothing will happen except to spoil the beer
check your dictionary...

It's not a drug and it is legal. There is a debate ongoing concerning the dangers of this substance and it has been known to make some folks sick and cause migraines in others. It is listed as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe), but there are reports of Chinese Restaurant Syndrome attached to its use. The symptoms include headache, numbness, shortness of breath, etc. To the health-minded public, it is generally recognized as a shortcut to good cooking and most people do not like it. I am one of them. Exitotoxins in my food is not something that I look forward to, nor in my beer. I wouldn't recommend doing it. Nothing will happen at all.
