Why do people buy the same alcohol but from different brands??!

Question:

Why do people buy the same alcohol but from different brands??

i never understood that. for example why would someone have a grey goose vodka, and then maybe a bottle of smirnoff? if the grey goos is more expensive and nicer then wyh go out and by a cheaper and lower quality one if you already have a high quality vodka?

Answers:
the more expensive is better for shots, the cheaper is used for mixing drinks, you can't tell the difference.

Maybe they use the more expensive brand for special occasions.

Good stuff is for guests , and to really taste it when you drink it. other stuff is for when you just want to get drunk.

Price more than anything. Some weeks the paycheck can reach Grey Goose, other weeks you have to settle for Finlandia.

Expensive = Shots and on the rocks, for people with taste
Cheap = For your friends who like to mix it with OJ and other mixers.

you can not eat steak every day, also maybe they finished the good stuff

so what you are saying is that if you can buy something good once, you can always buy it

I drink Champaine, for a big time, I buy around 30-40 a bottle stuff

for mossias I buy cheap

and for just buying a bottle, I spend 15, yea there is a diffence but the 15 -20 still taste good, it just doenst taste great

I bought a bottle of Smirnoff today to make my evening cocktail, I also got a bottle of Van Goh for shots and to serve my friends this weekend. I'm not trying to impress anyone, I just feel for shots it's better and my friends are free to choose which Vodka they would like.

You answered your own question: because it's cheaper! If you're going to be mixing drinks, Red Bull/Vodka for example, then you won't need the highest quality vodka because you won't really be able to taste it. If you're drinking vodka on the rocks, then you'll want the best tasting you have available.

Maybe they like both. Compare it to pop. You might like pepsi more but you still buy a coke every now and then.
