How do I drink Tempranillo?!
Answers: I was given a bottle of Conde de Valdemar Crianza 2003 tempranillo Rioja and have no idea the best way to drink it or what food to pair with it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Perfect with tapas style food and Spanish hams.
Open the bottle an hour or two before drinking so it's at its best.
You can just enjoy it on it's own or with a nice steak dinner....

Some people have said that Tempranillo is like a Spanish Pinot Noir. So, pair it with foods that you would with a Pinot.
Tempranillo is one of my favorite wines. I drink it with grilled or roast pork, beef roast, turkey, etc. I believe I have also had it with a grilled salmon with a heavier sauce.

similar in style to a syrah/shiraz. goes very well with bbq type foods. also spanish foods go well, since it is a spanish wine. I normally drink it with things that I would normally have Zinfandel (the red kind) or Shiraz.
