If you already have an empty you can fill it with liquor and this would actually save you money in the long run....If the keg is empty tap it and release all the beer and air...Then while it is tapped if you have one person hold the keg while the other holds the tap and twist the compression rings should come undone.. (this works best with miller lite products) Untap the keg and rinse it with water..You wont be able to fully remove the ball bearing system but it should be loose enough that you can wash it out with water...Next drain the keg again... You should now have an empty keg...Now all you have to do is fill it with your favorite mixed drink...We always made rum punch Using 151(best bang for your buck) just keep in mind you are filling 14 gallons so it will take a lot of juice and a couple of bottle of liquor. Once it is filled use the tap to resrcew on the ball bearing system. The all you have to do is treat it like a normal keg.. Then bam rum punch from the tap all night long..ps ive found Heineken works the best they dont secure their kegs as well as we do in the states. Good luck and happy b day..

You cant buy a keg of liquor....kegs are for beer

depends on what you get a half barrel of highlife or highlife light costs between 50-70 bucks but if you dring the empty keg back youll get a deposit somwhere between $10 and up (Keep the recipt) a Half Barrel is the biggest you can find for personall use. carry 7 30-cases but then you need a tapper
some half barrels are more expesive such as Killians Irish Red wich could be over $160.

There are also Quarter bArrels which are 3.5 30-cases and still get a deposit etc. etc.

Did you mean beer? I would love to know if you could actually get liqueur in a keg... I doubt it since most of that is made in barrels. And as for your "right price" anything can be put in a keg philosophy, although true, I would love to know what you would have to pay to have a bottler fill a keg for you with liqueur. I mean all they would have to do is shut down their operation, change out their filters and lines, fill your one keg, and then change it all back. All why paying a bunch of union employees to take their scheduled breaks... Sounds reasonable to me.

A store will not sell you a keg of liquor. And the party would need to be HUGE, at least 100 people to make it worth buying. Look instead into buying several half gallon (1.75 liter) bottles of liquor. Most of the normal ones (Smirnoff and Captain Morgan for example) will run you around $25 - $35. (respectively)
A half gallon contains about 59 one ounce shots so it will go quite a ways.
Buy a half dozen and you have about 360 shots for around $150 to $200. If your party needs more than this please send me an invitation and directions.

You could fill a keg like Nate tells you, but in no way would it save you money, since you still need to buy the liquor and keg seperately.
