Different habits?!

Question: Hallo ! I live in a European country and I would like to ask US pals, about something. On US movies or tv series, people always eat served sweets or ice cream with a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon . They also never use a glass to drink beer, they drink it from the bottle, and they use huge cogniac glasses always filled to the top to drink wine. Do people at real homes do the same ?

Are you asking if all people drink their beer straight from the bottle? If that is your question, no, not all people do that. There isn't anything wrong with it if they do. It's like drinking a soda from the can.

As far as cognac glasses, they have a much shorter stem. There is a popular style of wine glasses here that have no stem, which is what you might have seen. I always drink my wine from a glass though, not from the bottle like my beer ;-)

yup str8 from the bottle

well beer bottles yes. um prolly for the ice cream its probably either just depends on what they grab. and wine is probably any glass they can find

Hi, I live in California...
1. Ice cream is better eaten with a big spoon. More ice cream less chance of melting
2. Beer tastes better out of the bottle, less to wash up afterwards.
3. better than drinking out of the wine bottle.
4. pretty much we do.

I'll answer one at a time.

1) I use a tablespoon. Can eat faster and get 2nd's quicker.
2) Always out of the bottle. You can throw the bottle away and have to wash the glass.
3) If I have cognac or wine and fill to the top, then I can say that I've only had a glass or two instead of 4 to 6 half glasses.

I Average A Case of Beer a day, Party On My European Friend....
