Do you think 3 1/2 barrels and one 1/4 barrel of beer will be enough for my reception party?!
Answers: there will be 170 people.. there will be wine and coffee and pop and stuff.. but im not sure if thats enough beer?? what do you think?
i think 3 quarter barrels and one 1/8th would be suitable. like the dude said above me.. there's wine also, so we dont want everyone driving home drunk. u know?

Yes! In each 1/2 keg you can get about 130 pints from it. Your guests will have plenty to drink and be doing the YMCA on the dance floor in no time!
I would cut back at least 1/2 on the beer ,you have beverage alternatives and you don't want any of the guests driving home drunk, you would be responsible if they got in an accident. Most receptions only last 4-5 hours that is almost too much not everyone drinks anymore.. and I am sure there will be kids and underage types in that 170. Have enough for them to get a glow but not drunk.
