i know it is good for mixed drinks. but what about shots?

To me its run of the mill....just o.k. I prefer absolute vodka it screams class is very smooth and after 4 or 5 drinks I'm as charming as a coiled up rattlesnake ready to strike....whoever crosses my path.....a job well done it sneaks up on ya.....
Smirnoff is considered a decent middle of the road quality vodka. It is fine for most people, but snobs like the really expensive stuff like Grey Goose, Kettle, Absolute, and others. Getting the booze as cold as possible helps a martini a bunch!
i prefer absolut...but if you can spare the change go for grey goose.
Only if you dont have money. But then again, you should get some cheap @ss plastic bottle vodka
Get Absolut, or Ketel One, Grey Goose ou Stoli if you can afford
Not bad, not awesome. If you are making a chocolate martini or a lemon one, you can flavor the vodka. That makes the middle of the road brand taste much better. For the lemon, you need the zest of one lemon (750ml bottle) and for vanilla you need 5 vanilla beans crushed (same size bottle). Lemon works well in the other fruit flavored martinis as well.
