It never goes bad, I have had 30 yr old scotches and others, as longer as it is kept in a cool place it will not evaporate, you can even lose some with a tight fitting screw top lid.

I had a bottle of Crown Royal given to me for my 40 birthday and still have some, it is not as old as the scotch, they have found stuff in caves over 500 yrs old, and while on a trip to france, I saw on a tour of the famous Chateau Latour a bottle in the cellar labelled 1779.

garbage. Jack is cheap, just get a new one. A small bottle since you don't drink it for years at a time.

the older the better

Contrary to wine, whiskey or whisky is a distilled product. In other word, whether you keep it for 5 or one hundred years it will not get any better. If not open, it stays the same.
If the bottle was opened in air got into it, it could get worst with the years.

ya why not the more the older whisky the more taste good.

This may sound weird, but the only way whiskey keeps and matures is if it's kept in some sort of wood packaging I heard, won't make any difference and just deteriorate in the bottle otherwise lol my advice DRINK IT NOW AND ENJOY
:-D

strong alcohol can last for years,so no problem there
