I have a bottle of half-consumed "Scotch Whisky" (100% distilled)?

which I found in my late grandmother's cabinet. Can i still use it? Does whisky have any expiry date?

The label says " Passport Scotch" by William Longmore & Co, Keith , Scotland. 100% Scotch Whiskies (distilled and aged in Scotland) It contains no sediments.

It's going to depend on a couple of things. First, how old is the bottle? If it's from last month then, no, you won't have any problems with it. If it's from 1945 then I'd just keep it as a conversation piece. Second, what brand is it? If it's a good brand then your chances of it still being good even after a couple of years is significantly higher. If it's some rotgut brand bought at the local gas station I'd just throw it out completely.

I think It will be OK to drink, taste it to see.. it wont kill you, the Alchol will keep it good for years, but if it has any sediment it might be going off. I just cant see it doing you any harm, unless you drink the whole bottle in one go.

You can drink the scotch and it will be find, however, Passport is a fairly inexpensive scotch and you can be purchased anywhere. Because your grandfather may have had it for several years does not make it a aged vintage fine scotch whiskey, it's just old!

its not antuiqe and its not bad. drink up!

Once it's in the bottle it doesn't change or continue aging. As long as it was tightly capped it will be ok...
