If you asked a bartender for more than one beer, what would you say?!

Question: My friend and I are having an argument about whether "beer" or "beers" is the proper pluralilization. I understand that this may depend on where you are from, so also say what state or country you're in.

Let's say you are ordering more then one bottle of the same kind of beer.

where i'm from it would be: two lahge bears ovah heyah!
definitately NOT may i please have blah blah blah...

you ask for the brand stupid, there are a million kinds of beer, no one just asks for 'beer'

Beers is proper for more than one. If he says "Beer" prove him wrong by looking in a dictionary.

Beers

beeeers all the way
CT

im from the us.
can i have two beers.
thats pretty much how ya do it

:]]]]

I'd say gimme 2 beerS

2, 3, 4...beers

"beers" is plural for more than one beer so.... i think it would be that. just say it out loud. can i have 2 more beer? it dont sound right.

I believe the plural of beer, is beer. sorta like 1 moose, 2 moose. (or maybe thats just in canada, eh?)

ok well the same beer, say, miller light...
i would say, " hey can i have to miller lights in a bottle?" and totally avoid the beer or beers comment.

and if beers isnt a good way to phrase more then one beer...
what would you call just one beer?
im going to go buy some beer, beers, brew.
it all works.
no harm no foul.

oh, im from michigan btw.

I'd like 2 beer? Nah. Plural, 2 beers. If its the same kind, it may be easier to say, "I'd like 2 bottles of Coors Light", or the beer of your choice.

i dont drink

"can i have 2 or more beerS."
"can i have 2 or more beer"....

which one sounds like the best to you?

I'm thinking that if you ask for multiple BEER, the bartender will say you've had enough...

Jay D is right. You'd say "2 bottles of so&so"

it depends if you are drunk or sober....

You must not be from the USA, beers plural

may i have (two, three or four) beers please.

Every bartender and cocktail waitress in my 40 years of ordering drinks and food will never care about your diction. If I were to order two bud lights....the very words out of my mouth would be "Two Bud Lights....Please"

If it's a first round, specify the beers by name. Following rounds, just say two more. It's beers.

BTW: BudLt just got a sincere smile with his two Bud Lights.

It wouldnt matter because you dont ask for "beer" if you did they wouldnt know what kind to give you. But if you are trying to figure out the plural word for beer it would be "beers" for instance, "Yeah, I just got home I only had two beers"

"May I please have two beers." "May I please have two bottles of Bud?" "May I please have two Heinekens?"

Definitely add the "s".
