Answers: I don't think you can compare the two. And it also would depend on the person using it. Alcohol has ruined my brother's life because he is an alcoholic. For him, marijuana would be cheaper. $40.00 worth of marijuana would last him forever, where as $40.00 worth of alcohol wouldn't last him 24 hours.

Depends what kind of alcohol. You can have a 1000$ bottle of wine or you can have a 10$ bottle, you can get excellent quality marijuanna or cheaper, less potent marijuanna.

A drink will cost you about $6 at a bar, about $2 at home. Three to four drinks make an evening. That's about $20 at the bar and $6-10 at home. For one night. You can get a good sized bag of pot for about $20, last I heard. That'll last you the whole week.
Alcohol is more expensive because you drink all of it and then it's gone and you want more. Marijuana you can smoke a couple bowls and then you can be done and save it for whenever. Usually you get quite a few bowls out of an eighth (a bag that cost 20 dollars). And you know what you are doing when you smoke pot and alcohol sometimes you don't know what you are doing. It also depends on the alcohol too. But yeah alcohol is more expensive.

It totally depends on the type of alcohol your buying, and the grade of marijuana which your buying. Obviously if your getting a cheap kind of alcohol, the marijuana will be more expensive. If your getting a lower quality grade of marijuana, the alcohol would be said to be more expensive. The question is too unspecific to give a straight answer.

It depends on how much you drink vs. smoke...it also depends on the supply and demand of weed and what strain it is. On a whim I would say weed is...but if you are talking alcohol at a club it could be more expensive.... : /
