When reading a drink recipe, what is "simple syrup"?!

Question:

When reading a drink recipe, what is "simple syrup"?

Answers:
Simple Syrup, also known as Bar Syrup or Rock Candy Syrup is little more then a mixture of sugar and water.

The ratio of sugar to water can be left to personal preference, traditionally it is one part water to two parts sugar.

First bring the water to a boil, then dissolve into this the sugar. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, you remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool. Store in a plastic squeeze bottle to make it easy to add to cocktails as necessary.

Equal amounts of sugar and water brought to a boil and then cooled. You can use it for iced tea, coffee, cocktails, desserts, etc...

2 parts sugar, 1part water. Boil the water, add the sugar, stir until dissolved, let cool.

simple syrup is sugar and water. Its used to sweeten drinks , its preferred because its already a liquid, so you dont have to try dissolving the table sugar.

sugar and water , equal quantities, bring to boil and dissolve sugar. Dont overcook . more or less sugar to your own preference. Too much sugar and it will start to crystalize sooner.

Shake the bottle its put in to keep it mixed.

boiled sugar and water.

Mark has it. Although nowadays you very rarely use it when making drinks. I only know of one bar here in daytona beach that uses it on a regular basis. None of the other bars ive worked at or my friends have worked at do.

Eqal parts of water and sugar melted as a side note you can flavor these simple syrups with just about anything
