What are really good liquors for mix drinks?!
Answers: I'm going to a party this weekend and I am the host of liquors. I need seveal really good ideas for different liquors to mix with soda, juice, and really good shots that are reasonably inexpensive. Please don't be shy with your drinking ideas! Even give me a few mix drinks to try out!!
You can never go wrong with Vodka. It mixes easily with just about everything. Light rum works too. Try mojitos! They rock. For big parties sometimes we whip up a batch of "Pain Killer." Make a bunch, put it in a cooler with a spout or big pitchers.
Pain Killer
1 gallon dark rum
2 pints cream of coconut
1 quart orange juice
2 gallons pineapple juice
Combine. Serve over ice and grate a bit of nutmeg over the top. Goes down way too easily.
just buy jack and coke thats all anybody needs
Butterscotch snapps and kahluha in a shot glass. Taste like bit-o-honey candy and you get hammered quick.
I like Rum because it mixes with everything! It is great with all thing fruity. Your light rum will do better with juices and dark, like Captain Morgan will do better with Cokes. It is even good for frozen drinks because you use it for daquaris and such. yummy. Vodka is good too, Tequila is good for shots, and corona is a good but expensive beer
Vodka is very versatile. It goes with all fruit juices and most pop mixes. Bloody Caesars are always a favourite.
A good liqueur to have on hand is Tia Maria or Kahlua. They can be used with the vodka for a Black Russian or with milk for a brown cow. Those liqueurs also go good in coffee.

For cheap, versatile liquors go with Light rum, and Vodka. Neutral tastes mix well. You don't need Super premium liquor for mixed drinks, so don't buy the grey goose, etc. a nice middle quality liquor is a safe bet. around $20 a fifth. For shooters decide what you want before you buy. Or go with the standby jello shots, using the same vodka and rum bases. Two birds with 1 stone there. Easy to drink and they'll take care of the job. Plus they can be ALOT of fun
