Real ale fans only!!!!?!

Question:

Real ale fans only!!!!?

What is your favourite real ale?
I'm not talking bottled/canned urine...
Surely there are other people out there, like me me, who go to a pub on the merits of the quality of the beer alone, fornicate the rest.
If so, what is your fave beer, and where is the pub that serves it?
Ta,
Nick

Answers:
timothy taylor landlord at the bree louise near euston rail station london uk. at the recent camra festival near st pancras rail station, the beer of the festival was spire sergeant pepper stout, an excellant brew.

Guinness Extra Stout

Deuchars IPA and Reiver (think that ones only available in my neck of the woods)

oh sorry, the pub I get them both in is The Cross Keys, Ancrum, in the Scottish Borders.

Well, depending on my mood, either Boddington's or Newcastle. I can get Newcastle just about anywhere. But finding a pub that serves Boddington's (on tap) is a bit harder. (I'm not in Britain, after all). I had one in Pasadena, CA which I used to frequent when I lived there. But I moved recently and am still looking for a new one. OH, how I miss that creamy, dreamy, foamy head......

Theakston's Old Peculier, Boddington's, Deucher's IPA... mmm... is it Friday yet?

Westmalle Tripel Trapist Ale from Belgium

Depending on your taste:

Sierra Nevada IPA---Crisp and Hoppy

Pete's Wicked Ale ---Take Your Pick ( I like VooDoo)

Rogue St. Rogue Red--Full with a light citrus kick

Rogue Chocolate Stout--Thick and Chocolatey Stick a spoon in it

All should be available at most speciality liquor stores in the ale or microbrew section.

Cheers!!

It used to be Burton but since moving to Suffolk, I am content with Adnams. Green King IPA is a standby second choice.

Goose eye....brewed by independant brewery at Goose eye near Keighley west yorkshire....strange name but great beer. I have only seen it at beer festivals or local pubs near Keighley. If you are in the area try it out...In Bronte country so you can have a bit of culture as well....Enjoy

Porterhouse Red from The Porterhouse is an excellent pint, devoid of all the crappy chemicals you find in cheap fizz.

Greene King IPA and Spitfire are amongst my favourites, as is anything by Youngs. Had a gorgeous pint in the 'Plume of Feathers' in Greenwich. Tanners Jack.

Smithwicks was my tipple of choice when I visited Dublin a couple of years back. Shame they don't brew it here.
