There are a couple:
1. Brandy Smash
Crush 4 sprigs of mint and 1 teaspoon powdered sugar in a glass and rub them together to bruise the mint. Take the mint out and put into the glass 2 ice cubes, 1 measure brandy and a splash of soda water. Serves 1.
2. Brandy Daisy
Put 2-3 ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and add 1 measure brandy, a quarter measure lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of grenadine syrup (non-alcoholic). Shake to mix then strain into a glass. Top up with soda water if you want to make this into a tall drink; decorate with cherries too if you like. Serves 1.
Careful! These are pretty potent!
Sidecar:
1 Cup Brandy
1/2 Cup Triple Sec
1/4 Cup Freshly squeezed lemon juice
Shake it all up with ice in a martini mixer & serve with a cherry.
Brandy Alexander
Ingredients:
* 1 1/2 oz Brandy
* 1 oz Dark Creme de Cacao
* 1 oz Half-and-half or Heavy cream
* 1/4 tsp grated Nutmeg
Mixing instructions:
In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the brandy, creme de cacao, and half-and-half. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the nutmeg.
You can make this as a frozen drink by blending with ice or substituting cream with ice cream and blending. If you don't have creme de cacao try it with a little kahlua or just a dash of powdered white chocolate and splash of vanilla.
